Birds Sing in Their Gates
Blue Birds are busy, Orioles met me at back door. Singing continues, east and west. Dogs bark in distance while two white-wing black ducks land on empty fairway beside sandy bank. Partners. Friends for Life. Flying Buddies. Together. Red-headed Woodpecker and Humming Birds work on same feeder, fly among identical tall trees.
Golfers Look for Golf Balls
Cream colored cart. Deep Fuschia padded seats. Cream colored knee length skirt. Cream colored derby style sun hat. She hits among green trees, green grass and pine needles.
I peer through cream white rail. Outside. Second floor. Blue Birds lite on little wooden houses- shine bright within green. Observing. Flying.

Ending the Daylight Hours as I Started
Covered porch upstairs sitting at rusty wrought iron table, writing. Cup of coffee replaced by bottle of beer.
branches of fully leafed trees sway softly, invisible wind moves gracefully, from southerly more than easterly, joggers pace, 6 miles per hour
singing birds replaced by croaking, chirping frogs, two bats wisp in, wisp out in the space between the pine trees above the sandy bank
